About Us D&D Electronic Services Ltd., established in 2002, is a service, sourcing and manufacturing organization specialized in cable and wire harness assembly, plastic injection, plastic tooling, PCB assembly, SMT, metal stamping and magnesium die casting. D&D Electronic Services works hand in hand with EM GmbH, located in Vernheim, Germany. At EM we operate a state of the art distribution facility, as well as, a modern and fully equipped cable assembly plant. With our engineering and manufacturing base in Europe, coupled with the flexibility of facilities in China, the D&D / EM team offers a distinct advantage to our partners. Since we evolved from a manufacturing base in Germany, we have been able to successfully transition the same quality expectations to our own facility and those of our strategic manufacturing partners in China and Taiwan. This is the key to our business model. We strive to give total transparency to the projects that we find suitable to move to our facilities in Asia and we deliver absolute quality. Location, Location, Location If our partner's products projects require a high percentage of labor content, then there are already exceptional reasons for bringing them to the most dynamic and cost competitive market in the world; China. We make this transition seamless while maintaining the discretion that you require in releasing the responsibility for direct manufacturing to a team of like-minded Western managed professionals. If we receive projects that use an approved vendor list, then we encourage implementation of the next cost savings factor &endash; local equivalent components. Many of the well-known brand name parts and materials that are commonly used in your markets can be effectively purchased in the form of equivalent components from a well-developed subcontractor base in China. This is a critical benefit in terms of flexibility and cost competitiveness. Size Does Not Necessarily Matter Often, our partners are wary of bringing their products to China because they are under the impression that all China-made products require significantly high volume in order to be competitive. This is not always the case. Based on the low cost of manufacture and the nature of the product, "low" quantities can also be efficiently handled in our Asian based manufacturing sites. In the specific case of plastic injection, the economical cost of tooling alone can be amortized into the product value to allow healthy margins even after the cost of transportation and duties.
